Jimmy Barker

Director of Emergency Medical Training

Jimmy Barker is a dedicated husband of 14 years to his wife, Tyren, and a proud father to their daughter, Brooklyn. A lifelong Christian and son of a pastor, Jimmy has a deep-rooted commitment to faith, family, and service.

He has served as a Phoenix Firefighter for over 7 years, currently stationed at Station 23, and brings real-world trauma response experience to the 6:8 team. In addition to his work in public safety, Jimmy has regularly supported church security operations, combining his professional training with his passion for protecting places of worship.

For Jimmy, this mission is deeply personal. With his mother and other family members actively involved in church ministry, he understands the importance of creating safe environments for worship. “People being safe matters to me—I live it every day.”
